When you book a trailer rental, we collect:
- Contact information: name, email address, phone number, mailing address
- Date of birth (to confirm you meet our minimum age requirement)
- Driver's license and proof of insurance, which you upload to verify eligibility to rent
- Payment information — we do not store your card number ourselves; payments are processed by Stripe, and we only retain a reference token needed to process refunds or additional authorized charges
- Records of your rental history, including dates, pricing, and any notes about the rental
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your reservation
- To verify you meet our rental requirements (age, valid license, proof of insurance)
- To process payments and security deposits through Stripe
- To send you booking confirmations, reminders, and related communications by email
- To maintain records required for our business operations and insurance purposes
SMS / Text Messages
We do not send text messages to customers. Our internal team may receive automated SMS notifications on our own business phone for operational purposes (for example, when a new booking is made), but these messages are never sent to customer phone numbers. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and obtain your consent before sending you any text messages.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate our business — including Stripe (payments), our database and hosting providers, and our email provider — and only as needed for them to provide those services. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law.
Document Retention
Your driver's license and insurance documents are kept on file so that returning customers don't need to re-upload them for future rentals. You can ask us to delete your documents at any time by contacting us.
Your Choices
You can ask us to correct, update, or delete your personal information by contacting us using the information below. Note that we may need to retain certain records (such as rental and payment history) for legitimate business and legal purposes even after a deletion request.
